Commissioning Artwork: 3 Steps

1. Talking about art
Tell me what it is about my art that appeals to you and what you’re looking for.   Perhaps you want a painting that uses a limited palette of colors, or perhaps you need something to liven up a plain wall.   I enjoy the different challenges that come with either a lot of direction or very little.   Just keep in mind that I have my own style and that I still need room to create something true to my style within the boundaries of whatever direction you give.   The bottom line is that I want this to be a comfortable experience for both of us.

2. Getting down to specifics
After you have plenty of time to think about what you want (I never rush anyone), we figure out how large a painting you want, which will then determine the timeline for completing it, the cost and amount of the deposit.

3. Doing the work
This is the easy part for you.   After the deposit is paid, I get to work and the balance of the payment is made upon delivery of the completed painting.
